Test Your Polarized Sunglass Lenses Yourself

It’s important to get polarized sunglasses because when you are using these sunglasses you have the opportunity to protect yourself from the reflection of different surfaces which include road as well as water. Polarized sunglasses prevent the annoyance which is caused by the dangerous effects of various reflecting surfaces. Glare is very dangerous for the eyes and can permanent damage to the eyes. This is the main reason why we decided to purchase polarized sunglasses for ourselves.

We were determined to get polarized sunglasses for ourselves, but were not aware how to test these sunglasses. We were scared also that we might be duped by any company if we went to purchase sunglasses without having much knowledge on polarization and how to test it. We might get the wrong pair of sunglasses for ourselves while being happy about selecting the right pair of sunglasses.

There are many companies which promise to offer good quality polarized sunglasses, which are often fake. You will be paying for polarized lenses but not getting such lenses in return. Customers get duped after believing their claims, In order to avoid such a situation, its good to test all such sunglasses yourself and not be dependent on anyone. When we decided to purchase polarized sunglasses we went to the store after learning how to check these sunglasses, so that none could cheat us under any situation.

The first thing you need to check in such a sunglass is its tag. This is the easiest way to check the polarization details of any sunglass. The tag of your sunglass helps to determine if the sunglass has genuine polarized lens. Most stores which deal with polarized sunglasses offer sunglasses with a test sticker attached to them. Such a sticker helps the user to know and identify if the lenses are polarized or not which is an essential test for polarization.

You can check the tag or the sticker of the sunglasses by looking at it through the lens of the sunglass, by rotating the sunglass at a ninety degree angle. When the tag is rotated at ninety degree angle, the tag will become dark which is an indication that the lens of the sunglass is polarized. When we visited the store, we check the tag of the sunglass in our very first step.

Our store did not have much of a variety of sunglasses so we decided to visit another store. Here there were several designs and shapes of polarized sunglasses but they did not have tags, which was a problem in checking the polarization level. But, we had come prepared. We knew how to check sunglasses which did not have tags or stickers on them. We used another pair of sunglasses to test our selected sunglass.

We put both these wholesale sunglasses together and tried to look through both these sunglasses, while we were rotating one sunglass to a ninety degree. We were happy to see that light was blocked which was a proof of the fact that both these sunglasses were polarized.
